ext week, we are off to NYC and LA to show our work-in-progress, with a view to receive feedback and foster new relationships with collaborators and partners who can help us bring the project to completion.
The first public screening is planned in Brooklyn, NYC, on Friday, September 26th at Gratitude Cafe. It’s organised by a wonderful couple who we met through the Awra Amba Like Page on Facebook. It will be an intimate event, entry on a first come first serve basis. Both Serdar and I will be VJ’ing the Experience, that currently lives on my laptop, and taking questions afterwards. We are hoping for a lively discussion around some of the major themes in the documentary.
If you’d like to come to see The Awra Amba Experience before it’s launched, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and contact details. We start at 7.30pm promptly.
The following week, on October 2nd, Serdar will be in LA for a second screening and talk, hosted by the people behind Azla Vegan, a funky, Ethiopian restaurant and boutique. Venue and time will be confirmed shortly.
So, if you’re in NYC or LA and would like to come for a sneak preview, let us know!
